Advanced Filtering within Reports
The speed of our reports is something that a lot of users are familiar with, and we are always looking for ways to improve their usage and improve your user experience.
With the upcoming release of Statseeker v5.5.3, you will see that we have embedded more filtering options in the report header so you can quickly update and drill down to specific data without moving off the report. We understand when troubleshooting or looking for the specific data, time is critical, so we want to make it even easier and faster to access the data you need and to improve your user workflows.
We added the Time Selector filter at the start of the year in Statseeker v5.5.1, and now you will have the ability to move between your Groups and Devices with an all-new drop-down filter. In addition, a Text Filter option will let you use a simple string or RegEx to filter the data even further.
With this release, by default all custom reports will automatically include these filters at the top of the report so you can start taking advantage of this feature straight away.
New Image Map Panel
Our new Image Map dashboard panel will allow your team to upload a static image to your server and use it to overlay nodes that relate to managed devices in Statseeker. You can set up these nodes to for a range of query types across configuration, state or time series data.
Your team could consider using a network diagram, building floor plan or schematic or even a representational Server rack image. Drop in nodes relating to critical devices, ports, servers and start getting a visual on their key health metrics and status.
Nodes can be color coded based on the query you create so your team can be visually notified straight away without waiting for an event-based alert.
A node can also hold a device or interface name as well as the current metric you have configured so you immediately know what you are looking at and the state that it’s in. Link to other dashboards or drill down to a specific dashboard report for further analysis.
Multi Query Support for World Map Panel
Based on user feedback, we have continued to enhance the capability of our dashboarding World Map panel by adding improved usability and functionality.
To take full advantage of a single map panel in your dashboard, you can now add multiple queries looking at different health, status and performance metrics. Select the data objects that are of critical importance and the format that is relevant to your team and your business unit, and then define the circle properties and color coding for each metric so you can view them together in a single panel and highlight which one is of vital importance.
- By enabling the legend you can quickly move between these queries and mouse over locations to get a view of these statistics.
- Out-of-the-box is the ability to click through and drill down to the relevant detail and data relating to these queries, providing you with the ability to investigate further.
If you haven’t tried utilizing the World Map panel, contact your account manager to find out how you can quickly apply multiple latitude and longitude coordinates to your devices within Statseeker.
